Project Description
The project was constructed on the former site of the Rotherham Greyhound Track
It constructed of two pairs of four bedroom semi-detached houses and one pair of three bedroom semi-detached houses. All houses were two and a half storeys.
They were built in a traditional manner but also incorporated Silent floor joists and attic trusses.
Challenges
The site investigation showed that the site was located over a geological fault.
It was therefore necessary to using grouting technology to stabilise the ground prior to construction of the dwellings.
