Project Description
The conversion of a void under the South Stand of Barnsley Football Club to provide state of the art facilities for local young people. Works included creating a recording studio, media room, stage and installation of audio visual equipment. New suspended ceilings, floor coverings, toilet facilities, kitchen and entrance were also completed.
Challenges
There was a potential condensation problem from the interface of the new facility at the underside of the concrete terracing. This was overcome by the introduction of a specialist Kingspan product which was also used at the Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal FC.
