Project Description
The refurbishment and reconfiguration of the dispensary, along with supporting accommodation including offices, waiting rooms and reception areas, to enable installation of a state of the art robotic dispensing system.
Challenges
The project required co-ordination of multiple service installations to provide a computer controlled air-conditioned environment for controlled drugs and robotic dispensing system.
Regular meetings between all parties involved with services installation were arrange to ensure the various subcontract teams could install the services in the limited ceiling void whilst maintaining the critical clear headroom required for the robot.
It was vital that good fire compartmentation was achieved as the site is within a multi-storey building. All service penetrations were fully fire stopped using a variety of techniques from proprietary fire collars to intumescent mastics and sealants.
