Project Description
Extension and refurbishment of existing primary school including new heating system and electrical rewire through out and provision of external play areas and architectural canopies.
Challenges
It was vital that through out the extensive works the school should remain in operation.
This required careful planning and phasing to ensure classes were not disturbed.
The Key Stage 2 section of the school which consisted of four classrooms, kitchen, staffroom and WC's were fully refurbished during the six weeks summer holidays which required detailed planning and management to ensure all critical path items were on target on a daily basis so that corrective action could be taken.
This ensured that the classrooms were ready to receive pupils on the first day of school.
