Project Description

Internal alterations to form a new seclusion room and circulation corridor.

Challenges

Working within a live mental health facility daily liaison was required with the ward managers to ensure that our activities could be carried out with minimum disruption.

It was necessary to minimise contact with patients whilst entering and exiting the site area, this was achieved by making a temporary access into the site area via an external window.

This access was left open as long as possible before blocking back up again ready for finishing trades.

All of the products and construction techniques used were very robust and anti-ligature to meet the clients demands.
