September 2013

Project Description

Three areas of work spread across the school, The Cyber Café involved the formation of a new I.T Suite.

St Julies involved two new I.T suites in place of the existing teachers lobbies.

Oakbrook house involved carefully demolition within a listed building to form a large classroom reinstating decorations and finishes. Other work included installation of a tea room for the teachers and alteration to form teaching rooms.

The main challenges faced on this project were that the works were spread across three separate buildings situated on a seventeen acre site.

These buildings ranged from constructions between 1860-2010. This inevitably presented a lack of consistency in work methods making each operation in each building unique therefore requiring extra planning paying particular attention whilst carrying out the work so as to not cause any unnecessary work or to disrupt valuable aesthetics of a listed building or within the newly completed building.

Along with these challenges the school operated under strict policy’s throughout the six week holidays period.
