Construction of Four Houses at Brincliffe House, Sheffield,
for a Cohousing Scheme
The site was previously a NHS building. The works consisted of the construction of a two storey block of three houses attached to the existing Brincliffe House.
The construction of a two storey detached lodge.
All associated external works and refurbishment of the existing flat.
The project was on a restricted lived-in community housing space within a residential area whereby residents required access to existing apartments within the main block at all times. This was achieved by careful traffic management and liaison with the residents. This was made increasingly difficult when the COVID-19 restrictions were implemented as the residents outside space within the grounds became paramount. Due to the ethos of this community housing group the highest level of sustainability was required. This resulted in a Rolls Royce specification and workmanship to achieve the highest of EPC ratings required. All while constructing to four bespoke internal designs for four different clients. These schemes included ASHP, Solar panels, specialist bespoke electrical roof lights and as you can see in the images, natural art stone.
