Refurbishment of Block 4

at Royal Hallamshire Hospital

Quality Built In

Refurbishment of Block 4 at Royal Hallamshire Hospital

Complete refurbishment of 1960’s, 3 storey office block into modern office accommodation.

Works included full services install, replacement aluminium windows and new lift shaft construction.

Challenges

Due to structural ceiling heights on the existing 1960’s block it was not possible to install suspended ceilings.

The service installation therefore had to be not only functional but aesthetically installed.

The multitude of services were co-ordinated to minimise crossover points to ensure kept tight to the soffit.  Attention to quality was meticulously managed as all joints and clips would be visible.

This resulted in a pleasing ‘Steam Punk’ look to the exposed services installation.
