Refurbishment of former Medical Records Area to form state of the art Patient Call centre.
Project included forming Glass partitioned offices, executive style washrooms, welfare facilities and all support rooms.
The Call Centre is the main contact hub for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The first challenge was to remove over 30 rows of 2m high, steel file racks.
This was carried out by a dedicated team who dismantled and stacked the racking.
Which was then taken out by a separate team on trolleys and 20 metric tons of steel was then sent for re-cycling.
Once the building was reduced to a bare shell the vast amount of services infrastructure was installed.
This was all carefully planned and set out millimetre perfect to ensure services were provided to over 120 desk positions.
Finally, high spec finishes such as Corian worktops and glazed office partitions were installed.
